2009 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship bracket

IRVING, Texas -- The pairings for the 2009 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship have been set, conference officials announced Monday.  Texas (20-10, 8-8 Big 12) is the No. 6 seed in the tournament and will face No. 11 seed Missouri (13-16, 4-12 Big 12) in the first round on Thursday, March 12 at 5 p.m. (Central).

Should Texas win its opening-round game against Missouri, the Longhorns would advance to play No. 3 seed Iowa State (23-7, 11-5 Big 12) in the quarterfinal round on Friday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. (Central).  Semifinal round play is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, while the championship game is slated for Sunday, March 15 at 12:30 p.m. (Central).

Tournament games will be played at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.  All 11 games will be televised, with the first round airing on Cox Cable in Oklahoma City and the quarterfinals, semifinals and final game being broadcast on FSN. Big12Sports.com will also feature live video streaming of all first round games.

All Texas games will also be aired over the radio on KVET 1300 AM Sportsradio The Zone.
