Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship bracket announced

IRVING, Texas -- The pairings for the 2010 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship have been set, conference officials announced Sunday evening. Texas (21-9, 10-6 Big 12) is the No. 5 seed in the tournament and will face No. 12-seed Missouri (12-17, 2-14 Big 12) in the first round on Thursday, March 11 at 1:30 p.m. (Central).
Should Texas win its opening-round game against Missouri, the Longhorns would advance to play No. 4-seed Texas A&M (22-7, 10-6 Big 12) in the quarterfinal round on Friday, March 12 at 1:30 p.m. Semifinal round play is scheduled for Saturday, March 13, while the championship game is slated for Sunday, March 14 at 12:30 p.m.
First round games will be televised by Metro Sports in Kansas City, while the quarterfinals through the final will be aired on FSN.
The Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship returns to Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo., for the ninth time in Conference history. Kansas City hosted the first six women's postseason events from 1997-2002, in addition to the 2005 and 2008 championships.
All Texas games will also be aired over the radio on KVET 1300 AM Sportsradio The Zone.
