March 5, 2013 2013 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship Bracket IRVING, Texas -- The pairings for the 2013 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship have been set, conference officials announced Tuesday evening. Texas (12-17, 5-13 Big 12) is the No. 9 seed in the tournament and will face No. 8-seed Kansas State (14-16, 5-13 Big 12) in the first round on Friday, March 8 at 6 p.m. Central. Should Texas win its opening-round game, it would advance to play No. 1-seed Baylor (29-1, 18-0 Big 12) in the quarterfinal round on Saturday, March 9 at 1:30 p.m. Semifinal play is scheduled for Sunday, March 10, while the championship game is slated for Monday, March 11 at 7 p.m. Other seeds include No. 2 Iowa State, No. 3 Oklahoma, No. 4 Texas Tech, No. 5 Oklahoma State, No. 6 West Virginia, No. 7 Kansas and No. 10 TCU. The Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship returns to Dallas for the fourth time, but makes its first appearance in the American Airlines Center – home of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and the NHL’s Dallas Stars.
