DALLAS -- For the second year in a row, Texas women's basketball senior guard Coco Reed has been named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team, announced Wednesday by the league office.
Reed is a sport management major who will graduate in May. Last year, she was named to the All-Academic Second Team. Additionally, the 5-11 guard has been named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll four consecutive semesters (spring of 2004 through fall of 2005).

To qualify student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of her team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
The Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship returns to Dallas for the third time in four years (2003-04, 06) on March 7-9 and 11 at Reunion Arena. Six different teams have won the nine Phillips 66 Big 12 Championships. Iowa State, Oklahoma and Texas Tech have two titles each while Baylor, Colorado and Texas have one.
