Today's Teams
The Longhorns (16-12, 5-9) close out their home regular season schedule today on "Senior Day",  looking to snap their five-game losing streak - the longest losing string in the program's 33-year history ... Texas Tech is 15-13 on the year and 6-8 in the Big 12 and has lost its last two games, both to Top 25 foes (at No. 14/16 Oklahoma, 70-67 on Feb. 17 and at No. 16/18 Texas A&M, 67-51, on Wednesday)... Texas Tech is one game ahead of UT in the Big 12 standings as the Lady Raiders are tied with Oklahoma State for sixth-place, while UT is in a tie for eighth with Missouri and Colorado... Baylor, Oklahoma and Texas A&M are tied for first with 11-3 marks, followed by Nebraska in fourth (9-5) and Iowa State fifth (8-6).

Then, Texas gained a split in the home-and-home series with Oklahoma as the Sooners rolled to a 78-58 win in Norman  (Feb. 12) as the Sooners ended the first half with a 27-3 run and avenged one of their four losses - a 67-62 loss to Texas on Jan. 31... Texas followed with a game at No. 15 Baylor on Feb. 18, with BU scoring 25 points off 20 UT turnovers en route to a 71-56 win in Waco... Wednesday, Oklahoma State swept the home-and-home series with the Longhorns, winning 64-52 in Austin.

All-America candidate and 6-3 senior F Tiffany Jackson continues as Texas' scoring (17.1 ppg), rebounding (8.9 rpg), blocks (1.2) and steals (2.5) leader ... UT's second-leading scorer is redshirt freshman F Earnesia Williams (9.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg)  ... Williams is followed by junior G Erneisha Bailey (7.6 ppg, 5.6 rpg), freshman PG Carla Cortijo (7.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg) and freshman G Brittainey Raven (7.2 ppg) ... Cortijo leads the way in assists (with 118) for a 4.54  apg average ... Williams Heating Up
UT 6-1 redshirt freshman forward Earnesia Williams has scored in double-figures three straight games - for the first time this year ... In the last three games, Williams has collected 40 points and 15 rebounds to average 13.3 ppg and 5.0 rpg while shooting 9-for-12 from the free throw line ... Williams has been in double-digit scoring 10 times, second-best on the squad ... She averages 9.2 ppg in overall and Big 12 scoring, ranking second to senior Tiffany Jackson in UT scoring in both stats.

Jackson Notches 1,000 Boards, Moves to #3 in All-Time Steals
In Wednesday's Oklahoma State game, All-America candidate and 6-3 senior Tiffany Jackson registered the 1,000th rebound of her career with her sixth and final board of the game with 49 seconds to go ... Jackson became just the FOURTH person in UT basketball history to log 1,000-plus rebounds...  Andrea Lloyd (1,115, 1983-87) stands third in career rebounding ...  With four steals against OSU, Jackson increased her career totals to 306 thefts, moving to No. 3 all-time in the UT record books (surpassing Esoleta Whaley who had 303 steals from 1980-84)  ... Additionally, Jackson stands No. 5 in Texas career scoring with 1,860 points, 123 points shy of the No. 4 spot, held by Henderson (1,983)...

First to Reach 1,800 Points & 1,000 Boards
With her 1,860 points and 1,000 rebounds, Jackson is the first player in Texas Basketball history to collect more than 1,800 points and pull down 1,000-plus rebounds ... The next closest is Retha Swindell, who played from 1975-70 and finished her career with 1,795 points and a school-record 1,759 rebounds.

Scouting Texas Tech
Texas Tech 6-9 away from Lubbock this year (4-8 in away games, 2-1 at neutral sites)... Senior Alesha F Robertson leads in scoring and rebounding (13.4 ppg, 8.5 rpg),  followed by freshman G Jordan Murphree (9.1 ppg) and senior C Patrice Edwards 8.5 ppg) ...
