Women's Basketball closes out regular season at home Saturday with Texas Tech
AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas women's basketball team will play its final regular season home game on Saturday, Feb. 24, when the Longhorns host long-time rival and Big 12 opponent Texas Tech at the Erwin Center on "Texas Senior Day." Tip is at 3 p.m. CT. In pregame ceremonies, starting approximately 10 minutes prior to tipoff, the Texas basketball program will recognize its two senior players who will be making their final regular season home appearance in the burnt orange and white -- 6-2 forward Katrina Robinson and All-America 6-3 forward Tiffany Jackson. Texas stands 16-12 overall and 5-9 in the Big 12, while Texas Tech is 15-13, 6-8. A FREE pregame event - the Ballin' Bash Tailgate takes place, sponsored by the Texas Sports Committee & Longhorn Hellraisers. This free event for UT students will be held from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Frank Erwin Center North Plaza with free food, shootout contests and more. Postgame, UT Athletics will host a FREE concert for all basketball fans with local rocker and recording artist Patrice Pike in the Erwin Center.
