Men's and Women's Basketball host canned food drive at Feb. 11 games
Feb. 2, 2012
On Saturday, Feb. 11 Texas Men's and Women's Basketball will host the third canned food drive of the year. UT Athletics looks to build on the successful program that has collected over 14,600 pounds of canned food items over the last five years. Help your community and support Texas Basketball by participating in this great event. Canned food items will be collected at the Men's Basketball vs. Kansas State game at 1 p.m. (presented by H-E-B) followed by the Women's Basketball vs. Oklahoma State game (presented by Time Warner Cable) at 7 p.m. Fans who donate five non-perishable food items at either game will receive a voucher for one FREE Texas apparel item (adult sizes only; sizes and colors subject to availability; limit one per person; while supplies last) and a coupon for a FREE Whataburger (while supplies last). Donations will be collected on the North, South and Red River plazas of the Frank Erwin Center beginning at 11:30 a.m. for the men's game and 5:30 p.m. for the women's game. Vouchers may be redeemed at the UT Athletics table located in the concourse outside Section 41 of the Frank Erwin Center. To be eligible to receive the Texas apparel item and the coupon, fans must purchase a ticket to the game separately. Fans can purchase tickets online at TexasBoxOffice.com or by calling the UT Athletics Ticket Office at (512) 471-3333. UT Athletics canned food drives are part of the Horns for Hope initiative for community enrichment.
