Enemkpali tabbed Phillips 66 Big 12 Co-Freshman of the Week

IRVING, Texas -- The Big 12 has selected Texas forward Nneka Enemkpali as the Phillips 66 Big 12 Co-Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Monday. The voting was conducted by a panel of media covering Big 12 women's basketball. Enemkpali averaged 7.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in Texas' win over Iowa State and loss at Oklahoma last week. She earned her first two starts of the season and averaged 24 minutes of playing time. The forward recorded a season-high nine points at OU and was one UT's co-leaders on the boards with eight rebounds. Enemkpali is averaging 6.2 rpg in Big 12 games compared to 4.2 rpg in non-conference action. This is the first league honor of Enemkpali’s collegiate career. Texas will next take on Missouri on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at the Frank Erwin Center. Longhorn Network will televise the game with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
