SUNFLOWER STATE SHOWDOWN ... In the fourth week of Big 12 Conference action, Texas faces a pair of opponents from the Sunflower State. The Longhorns first travel to Lawrence for a midweek contest against the Jayhawks Wednesday evening. On Saturday, UT hosts K-State at the Frank Erwin Center when it will also recognize the 10th anniversary of Texas' 2003 NCAA Final Four appearance.
TRIO STANDING OUT IN LEAGUE PLAY ... Three players are averaging 10 or more points per game and more than five rpg in Big 12 Conference action. Sophomore forward Nneka Enemkpali leads the Horns with 12.6 ppg and is pulling down 5.5 rpg. Junior guard Chassidy Fussell is second in scoring with 11.8 ppg while adding 5.5 rpg. Freshman center Imani McGee-Stafford is averaging a team-best 9.0 rpg and is third in scoring with 10.4 ppg.
Texas vs. Kansas
Wednesday's contest marks the 24th meeting between Texas and Kansas. Texas holds a 14-9 advantage in the all-time series, which began on Jan. 9, 1982, with a 66-47 UT win. The Longhorns have won 10 of their previous 14 meetings with the Jayhawks, with the last victory occurring Feb. 5, 2011, in Austin. Texas' last win in Lawrence was an 85-82 double overtime thriller on Feb. 13, 2010. The series is tied 5-5 when the teams meet in Lawrence.

Flashback: at Kansas [Feb. 8, 2012]
Chassidy Fussell scored 22 points, but the Texas Women's Basketball team was overwhelmed by the Kansas Jayhawks at Allen Fieldhouse. Kansas went on a 16-2 run early in the first half took a 17-point lead with 6:04 remaining in the period. Texas eventually got within three points early in the second but would get no closer as the Jayhawks stretched their lead to as many as 26. KU's Angel Goodrich set a Kansas all-time single-game record for assists with 16 and also scored 16 points. Aishah Sutherland led all players with 24 points and 12 rebounds and Carolyn Davis added 18. Yvonne Anderson and Ashleigh Fontenette also finished in double figures for the Longhorns, contributing 10 points each. KU shot 57.6 percent on the game to the Longhorns' 35.9 percent. Texas was just 8-for-35 from the field in the second half.
Last Time Out: at Oklahoma [Jan. 19, 2013]
Aaryn Ellenberg scored 22 points and No. 16 Oklahoma defeated Texas 69-56 on Saturday in Norman. Joanna McFarland scored 15 points and Nicole Griffin scored 10 for the Sooners, who never trailed in the game. Oklahoma led 33-27 at halftime, and opened the second half with a 12-5 run that gave them a double-digit lead that they held the rest of the way. Morgan Hook had a team-high nine assists and seven rebounds for the Sooners. Chassidy Fussell led Texas with 21 points and nine rebounds.
Fussell Hits 20 ... Again
With a team-high 20 points at Oklahoma (Jan. 19), junior guard Chassidy Fussell notched her third 20-point performance of the season and the 26th of her career. She has 65 double-digit scoring games in 78 career games played.
