Texas brings a 29-game conference homecourt win streak into today's game, which dates back to the 2001-02 season ... UT's last Big 12 loss at home was to Kansas State on Jan. 30, 2001 when the No. 9 Wildcats posted an 80-76 double OT win over the No. 14 Horns ... According to the most recent RPI rankings (Jan. 20) on CollegeRPI.com, UT's schedule is rated the second toughest in the nation, while the Horns are ranked No. 8 overall in the RPI (up from No. 11 last week)... Texas has faced five Top 25 teams (going 1-4 to date), with New Mexico and George Washington entering the polls after playing Texas... Kansas State stands No. 38 in the RPI, and its schedule is ranked No. 76 nationally.
Texas Stat Leaders
Texas is led in scoring by junior F Tiffany Jackson (14.5 ppg), freshman G Erika Arriaran (10.9) and senior PG Nina Norman (9.3 ppg) ... Jackson paces the club in rebounding (8.7 ppg) and steals (48, 3.2 spg), while Arriaran is first in assists (34, 2.3 apg) and 3-pointers made (20) ... Lindsey is second in rebounding (5.5 rpg), with Norman third (3.9) and Arriaran fourth (3.4 rpg)... This will be the 16th meeting between these two schools, with Texas leading the series, 8-7... The last four games in the series have been decided by a total of 11 points (or, 2.8 points per game) - a two-point KSU win (71-69, Jan. 25, 2003); a 65-63 Texas win (Feb. 29, 2004); a 64-60 Texas win (Feb. 16, 2005); and a three-point KSU win (72-69) last March 10 in the Big 12 Tournament semifinals.
Last year, #13 Texas won 64-60 over #18 KSU in Manhattan on Feb. 16, 2005 behind a barrage of 3-pointers from then-seniors Jamie Carey (6-8 in treys, 21 points) and Heather Schreiber (4-6, 14 points)...That was the best single-game 3-point shooting by a Longhorn duo in UT history... They met again in the semifinals of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament (Kansas City), where #17 KSU beat #11 Texas 72-69.

All-America junior TIffany Jackson had had great success against KSU in three previous games ... In last year's Big 12 Tournament, Jackson finished with a game-high 24 points to go with nine rebounds and four steals ... In her three games against the Wildcats, Tiffany Jackson has 46 points, 24 rebounds and 10 steals, to average 15.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game against Kansas State.

Texas is No. 9 nationally in blocked shots with 6.1 blocks per game (91) ... The next best category for Texas is steals where the Longhorns rank No. 25 (171, 11.4 steals per game) ... Junior Tiffany Jackson was ranked No. 21 nationally in steals average with 3.2 thefts per game.
For Kansas State, the Wildcats stood right behind the Horns in blocked shots, ranking No. 11 nationally with 6.0 bpg (totalling 96) ... They also are No. 22 in assists per game (17.0 apg), 23rd in field goal percentage, hitting 45.3 percent of their shots, and 26h in scoring margin (+12.8, 71.1 ppg to opponents' 58.3 ppg)... There is no more versatile player in the Big 12 than All-American and All-Big 12 First Team standout Tiffany Jackson ... A National Player of the Year candidate for the Naismith, Wooden Award and State Farm Wade Trophy for the second consecutive year, Jackson is one of only of three players averaging a double- double in points and rebounds in Big 12 action so far (along with Baylor's Sophia Young and OU's Courtney Paris).
Jackson shows her versatility by being ranked in top 10 in the following Big 12 league statistics: steals (1st with 4.0 spg); double-doubles (2nd with 3); overall rebounding (3rd, 10.8 rpg); defensive rebounds (3rd, 7.4/game); offensive rebounds (6th, 3.4/game); scoring (8th, 15.8 ppg); and free throw pct. (10th, 27-35, .771).
Jackson also is sixth in minutes played (36 mpg), tied for 11th in blocked shots (1.2 bpg) and tied for 14th in assists (2.6 apg).
Through 15 games, the 6-3 junior has been in double-figure scoring 13 times, has been UT's leading scorer 7 times, leading rebounder 10 times, and has had four or more steals six times to date.
Last year, only Jackson and Young ranked in the top 10 in Big 12 scoring, rebounding and field goal per centage, while Jackson also led the Big 12 in steals (47, 2.94 spg) and was No. 3 in blocks (1.9 bpg)... She only had four double-doubles, however, and this year already has three in five league games.

After five Big 12 games, All-America junior Tiffany Jackson ranks in the top 10 in EIGHT different league stat catagories: steals (1st with 4.0 spg); double-doubles (2nd with 3); overall rebounding (3rd, 10.8 rpg); defensive rebounds (3rd, 7.4/game); offensive rebounds (6th, 3.4/game); scoring (8th, 15.8 ppg); minutes played (6th, 36 mpg),and free throw pct. (10th, 27-35, .771).
In single-game efforts, Jackson's 17 rebounds against Iowa State (Jan. 17) is tied for the second-best single-game rebounding total, while her eight steals against ISU is a league high.
Senior Daria Mieloszynska is No. 3 in 3-point percentage (.471, 8-for-17) and tied for 11th in 3's made per game (1.6)... Mieloszysnka's six treys against ISU are tied for the single-game high in league action.
Senior guard Nina Norman is tied for No. 6 in steals (2.0 spg), is No. 12 in field goal pct. (.459), tied for No. 14 in assist average (2.6) and is tied for No. 17 in scoring (11.8 ppg).
In the team statistics, the 3-2 Longhorns lead the Big 12 in steals (11.2 steals per game) ... UT also is No. 2 in rebound margin (+6.2), No. 4 in field goal pct. (.425), free throw pct. (.723) and turnover margin (+.80, 18.2 turnovers to opponents 19.0 turnovers).
Who's Hot for the Horns
Tiffany Jackson has a string of 12 straight games of double-figure scoring .... Against the five top-10 opponents in this stretch of games, Jackson collected 12.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg with: a 13-point, six-rebound effort against No. 2/1 Tennessee; a 12-point, 6-rebound, 4-block, 5-steals effort vs. No. 1/ 2 Duke; 10 points and eight boards against No. 9 Rutgers; 19 points, 9 rebounds and one steal against No. 4 Baylor; and 10 points, 13 boards, two blocks and six steals vs. No. 24 Missouri.
Jackson also has logged three consecutive double-doubles .... Jackson has now been in double-figure scoring in 85 percent of her collegiate games (69 times in 81 games) ... She also has a team-high 22 double-doubles (double-figure rebounding and scoring) in her career ... Freshman post Ashley Lindsey (three) and senior guard Nina Norman (one) are the only other current Longhorns to have a double-double.
Norman has reached double-digit scoring in four of the last five contests, notching 59 points (11.8 ppg) while also chipping in with 13 assists and 16 rebounds.
The freshman post duo of Ashley Lindsey and Aubry Cook are combining for 12.2 points and 8.9 rebounds per Big 12 games .. Both rookies are shooting well from the floor in league action, with Lindsey at .519 (14-27) and Cook at .522 (12-23) ... Two games ago, Lindsey logged her third double-double of the year - and third in the last nine games - with 15 points and 11 boards against No. 24 Missouri... Cook is coming off Wednesday's 15-point, eight-rebound effort in the win over Nebraska.. It was her second time in double figures... Longhorn Record Watch
Senior guard Nina Norman has 374 all-time assists to stand No. 8 in all-time UT steals ... She is 29 away from the No. 7 spot, held by Angie Jo Ogletree (403, 1993-97)... Norman led the Longhorns in assists the last two years, dishing out a career-best 142 in 35 games (4.1 as a sophomore) and 98 (3.5 apg) in 28 contests last year.
In addition, Norman is moving toward the 1,000-career point mark ... She has notched 912 career points, needing 88 more to reach that 1,000-point milestone.
With 129 career blocks, Tiffany Jackson stands in a tie for No. 5 in career rejections with Tracy Cook (129, 1999-2002) ... She is 21 blocked shots shy of the No. 4 position...Her four steals against Nebraska moved her into a tie for No. 10 in career steals.
