Texas has hits the road for three straight nationally-televised road games against tough opponents - this ties UT's longest road swing of the year ... Versatile All-America 6-3 junior Tiffany Jackson leads the Longhorns in scoring (13.9 ppg), rebounding (7.7 rpg) and steals (28, 2.8 spg), is second in blocks (19, 1.9 bpg) and third in assists (16) ... Freshman Erika Arriaran (11.8 ppg) and senior Nina Norman (8.0) follow in scoring, with Arriaran first in UT assists (25, 2.5 apg), free throw percentage (.885, 23-26) and 3-pointers (15) ... Defending NCAA champion and league champion Baylor was first in the poll, gathering 113 points and six-first place votes... Texas was just edged out by the Lady Bears, as UT gained 110 points, including two first-place votes. Last year, UT was the runnerup in the Big 12 race ...Texas won back-to-back Big 12 regular season titles in 2003 and 2004, winning outright in 2003 and tying with Kansas State the next year.
