Erin Floyd enters her first year as Administrative Assistant for Texas Women's Basketball. Floyd comes to Texas after a one-year stint at North Texas where she served as Director of Operations for Women's Basketball and head coach Karen Aston. Prior to North Texas, Floyd played for Aston at Charlotte and was also a student assistant coach. As a student assistant coach under Aston (2010-11), Floyd helped guide Charlotte to the 2011 WNIT Semifinals, which included tournament wins over South Carolina, Florida and Virginia. The 49ers finished with a 27-10 record and a third place finish in the Atlantic 10 Conference during the 2010-11 campaign. As a player (2006-10), Floyd was a three-year starter for the 49ers and retired as Charlotte's all-time co-leader for career games played. Floyd averaged over eight points per game in each of her last three seasons and Charlotte advanced to the postseason in all four seasons of Floyd's collegiate career. Floyd won the Charlotte Golden Nugget Award following the 2007-08 and 2009-10 campaigns, an annual award given to the player that exhibits the most dedication and determination. |
