Volleyball hosts food drive Friday, Nov. 2 at K-State match

Not only are Texas Longhorns fans passionate and respectful, they are generous. Over the past six years at UT Athletics events, loyal UT fans have donated more than 20,000 pounds of food to the Central Texas community. UT Athletics is asking for its fans to step up once again. UT Athletics and Whataburger have teamed up to give fans the opportunity to fight hunger by donating non-perishable food items at the Texas Volleyball vs. Kansas State match on Friday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. Donations will be accepted on match day beginning at 6 p.m. at Gregory Gym. Fans who donate five non-perishable food items receive a Texas Sports DVD and a coupon for a FREE Whataburger. Collection will take place on the Gregory Gym plaza near the entrance. Vouchers can be redeemed at the Texas Athletics table located at the northwest corner of Gregory Gym. Fans must purchase a ticket to the match in order to receive the DVD and the coupon (offer based on availability). Purchase tickets online at TexasSports.com or by calling the UT Athletics Ticket Office at (512) 471-3333. UT Athletics canned food drives are part of the Horns for Hope initiative for community enrichment.
