UT set to host Hoops and Boots Fan Fest
March 12, 2013 UT will host the Hoops & Boots Fan Fest to celebrate the college men's basketball postseason games being held in Austin on Friday, March 22 and Sunday, March 24. The Fan Fest will be held before and during games both days. Friday's festivities will start at 11 a.m. and continue until the beginning of the second half of the final game of the day. The event is FREE and will take place at Centennial Park (corner of 15th St. and Red River, across from the Frank Erwin Center). Multiple big screen TVs will be in place for fans to see postseason tournament games live. Interactive games are available at no charge. A variety of food and beverage options will be on-site including Austin food trailer favorites Austin Scoops (ice cream), Chi'lantro (Korean-Mexican fusion), Hat Creek Burger Co., Casa Chapala (Mexican) and Pok-e-Jo's BBQ. The Texas Longhorns Official Team Shop will be at the Fan Fest offering official postseason merchandise.
