Not only are Longhorns fans passionate and respectful, they are also generous. Over the past four years, loyal Longhorns have donated over 12,000 lbs. of food at various UT Athletics events to the Central Texas community. UT Athletics is asking for its fans to step up once again.
Fans have the opportunity to help fight hunger by donating non-perishable food items at the Texas Men's Basketball vs. Iowa State game on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. Donations are accepted on gameday beginning 90 minutes prior to tipoff on the north or south plazas as well as the Red River entrance to the Frank Erwin Center.
Fans who donate five non-perishable food items receive a coupon for a FREE Whataburger (while supplies last) and a voucher to purchase a mezzanine ticket for only $6. Fans can present the voucher to the Erwin Center box offices to purchase their discounted tickets. (This offer is valid only for Feb. 22 game.)
