-Men's 400m hurdles - Texas Tech finishes 1-2 with winner Bryce Brown and Jamele Mason bettering three-time Texas Relays champion Jeshua Anderson of Washington State. -Men's 4 x 200 - LSU men win the race in 1:20.45 to break the meet record set of 1:20.61 by Texas A&M last year. -Women's 4 x 200 - LSU women complete sweep of 4 x 200 titles, winning in 1:30.88. LSU becomes just the second school to sweep 4 x 200 Texas Relay titles, joining Texas A&M (2009, 2010). -Women's Distance Medley Relay- Texas Tech women win this event for the fourth time in the past five years. -Men's 4 x 100 - Texas A&M men win with a collegiate leading time of 38.71, which is the third fastest in the world for the 2011 season. The Aggies ran the fastest winning time at the Texas Relays since the meet record of 38.64 set by TCU in 1999. -Women's Invitational 4 x 100 - Speed Divas run 42.45 to lower their world-leading time. They won at the Florida Relays last weekend in 42.75. -Men's Invitational 4 x 100 - Team Speed ran a winning time of 38.41, setting a world leading time in 2011 to better the 38.43 by Racers Track Club set in Jamaica on March 12. -Women's 100 hurdles - USC's Nia Ali and Baylor's Tiffany McReynolds both ran a wind-aided 12.74, which is the third fastest time in the world for 2011 under any conditions. -Men's 110 hurdles - LSU's Barrett Nugent ran a wind-aided 13.19, equaling the second-fastest collegiate mark all-time. Only Renaldo Nehemiah of Maryland posted faster times - 12.91w, 13.00, 13.16 - all in 1979. Nugent equaled a wind-aided 13.19 set at altitude by Robert Reading of USC in 1989. -The men's and women's invitational 100/110 hurdles' winning times were world-leading times under any conditions for 2011.
-Women's Triple jump - Florida State's Kimberly Williams wins with a wind-aided 46-9, and sets the meet record with a wind-legal 46-1 ¼ in her series. The previous meet record was 45-10 set by Keisha Spencer of LSU in 2000.
-100 Invitational Women - Marshevet Myers runs a wind-aided 10.90, posting the fastest time in the world for 2011. -100 University Men - Gerald Phiri of Texas A&M defends his 2010 title with a world leading 10.06 and breaks the meet record of 10.07 set in 1976 by Ed Preston of Arkansas State. -High School Girls - Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated - swept the 4 x 100, 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 in Division II. The last sweep of those relays came in 2008 by Woosman (Division I) and Lancaster (Division II). This is also the first time Lamar Consolidated has won a girls relay at the Texas Relays. |
