On his right foot injury: I’m just trying to make the pain go away. So I’m just glad I’m still healthy, it's going to be OK it's just a little scary because it is an Olympic, year.
On if he was nervous: In this kind of field I shouldn’t be nervous before a meet, but I sure had the butterflies. I love the Texas Relays and I love the respect I get here. I really enjoy the feeling from the fans, and their cheers for me.
Courtney Parm, Wossman
High School Girls Division I 4x400 Meter Relay

Men 4x400 Meter Relay Invitational
On his team’s race at the Relays: This race that we ran today was a lot of practice for us. Getting away from the training aspect and getting to the meet, mentally. We ran real well today, it’s great to see how we ran and we’re looking forward to our next race.
On what he has to work on: I got a lot of things to work on. No matter where I’m at I need to work on my feet and my strength.
On what it will take to break the world record: My race has to be perfect for me to get the record. Right now, a lot of people might think it’s perfect but in my mind, no it’s not.
On preparing for the Olympics: Right now, it’s a little exciting. A lot of people are going to be coming out that we haven’t seen in the past years, just like I did in ’04. There might be a college kid coming up in the final of the 400, and I just got to stay focused and do my job.
On his Olympic training: My training’s going great. I’m where I want to be right now, actually a little ahead. I opened up with a 44.8 back in February, last weekend at UTA I ran a 20.37, so I’m exactly where I want to be.
Carol Rodriguez, USC
