Oregon's Brianne Theisen set PRs in the high jump (5-10.75) and shot put (41-5) and matched her personal best in the 100-meter hurdles (13.69w) on her way to a first-day total of 3,651 points.
Angelo State's Andria Nussey set the meet record in the 800 meters with a time of 2:09.51. She broke BYU's Nachelle Stewart's previous record of 2:08.98.
TCU's Sean Zurko set the meet record in the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:50.03. He broke UTEP's Aggrey Chirchir's mark of 1:50.54.
