Festival area planned for 2005 78th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays
The excitement and activity at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays won't be limited to just the competition in 2005. This year's 78th running of the Texas Relays will feature a festival and food court area in Parking Lot 99 located directly south of Mike A. Myers Stadium. The festival area will include an extensive food court, exhibits featuring a wide variety of sponsors and interactive displays, an on-location radio station remote, tented areas with available seating, and a VIP area for current and former UT letterwinners, corporate sponsors and professional athletes. The 2005 Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays are presented by Nike Timing. Nike Timing will have an exhibit and display in the festival area, and will be joined by U.S. Army, MBNA, Mercedes Benz, Texas Department of Public Safety, Big Shoes and Longhorns Limited. The food court will include barbeque, pizza, turkey legs, fried catfish, snow cones, corn dogs, fajitas and other traditional outdoor fare. The festival and food court area will open at approximately 12 p.m. on Friday, April 8, and 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 9. Admission to the festival area requires a valid 2005 Texas Relays ticket (general admission or reserved). Entry to the VIP area requires a wristband which can be obtained at Gate 3 of Mike A. Myers Stadium. The 78th running of the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays begins Wednesday, April 6, at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
