The second-ranked Texas Volleyball team looks to move one step closer to clinching its third consecutive Big 12 Championship when the Longhorns host fifth-ranked Nebraska this Friday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m., presented by Chick-fil-A.
UT defeated Nebraska 3-1 on Sept. 26 in the Longhorns’ first win in Lincoln, Neb. since 1988. The victory also snapped Nebraska’s 82-match winning streak at NU Coliseum. Texas looks to sweep the season series from Nebraska for the first time since the formation of the Big 12 Conference.
If you have never sat in the Horns' House section at a Texas Volleyball match, this is the match to try it out. Your energy does make a difference. Fans are also encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costumes, and spook the Cornhuskers.
Located across from the team benches and within 15 feet of the court, the Horns' House allows students to be right on top of the action, and Gregory Gym is one of the most electric atmospheres on campus. Come out and enjoy the match and make Gregory Gym the toughest place to play in the nation.
"When the crowd just erupts and you can't even hear yourself think, it's the best feeling,” UT All-American Ashley Engle said. “I don't know if it's the same anywhere else."
