Texas Athletics is committed to raising public awareness regarding breast cancer and breast health initiatives through Horns for Hope, a campaign that is highlighted by three events -- Volley for the Cure, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) Pink ZoneTM and the first Texas Football home game in October.
On Wednesday, Oct. 21, the second-ranked Texas Volleyball team will continue the 2009-10 Horns for Hope campaign with the second annual Volley for the Cure against the Missouri Tigers at 6:30 p.m. presented by University Village & University Estates at Gregory Gym. Admission is FREE for UT students who have purchased the Longhorn All-Sports Package (LASP). All UT students are encouraged to wear pink to the match.
Prior to the match, UT Athletics will host "Pink for Pluckers," a UT student tailgate on Gregory Plaza beginning at 5 p.m. UT students who wear pink and show their student ID will get FREE wings from of Pluckers, while they last.
FREE pink poms poms and pink foam fingers will be passed out courtesy of University Village & University Estates to the first 500 fans to enter Gregory Gym.
Don't forget to wear pink in support of Horns for Hope and cheer on your Longhorns as they continue their march towards a third consecutive Big 12 Championship.
