UT Athletics and Texas Volleyball would like to thank the more than 1,000 UT students who helped the Longhorns sweep No. 10 Iowa State last Friday.
Show up at Gregory Gym early this Wednesday because the first 50 UT students to show their UT ID at the south Texas Athletics table will receive a 2009 Texas Football poster autographed by Mack Brown.
You can then help the second-ranked Texas Volleyball team kick off the 2009-10 State Farm Lone Star Showdown on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m. against rival Texas A&M. Come out, fill up the Horns' House and help your Longhorns take the first point in the State Farm Lone Star Showdown.
Your energy does make a difference!
When asked about the raucous crowd, senior setter Ashley Engle said, "The crowd was unreal. That is why we come to Texas. They were so supportive. When you get a kill it's great, but when the crowd just erupts and you can't even hear yourself think, it's the best feeling. I don't know if it's the same anywhere else."
Reminder: Start time for Texas Volleyball vs. Nebraska on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, is now 6 p.m. (originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m.).
