Texas-Oklahoma Football wristbands distributed Sept. 19-20

Sept. 16, 2011

Only three weeks remain until the 2011 AT&T Red River Rivalry when Texas and Oklahoma square off at the Cotton Bowl on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 11 a.m. Longhorn All-Sports Package (LASP) holders who do not already have a ticket to the game can participate in the wristband distribution on Monday, Sept. 19 and Tuesday, Sept. 20. Distribution begins at 9 a.m. each day at the student ticket office, located inside the Red McCombs Red Zone of Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Enter through gates 14 or 16 off 23rd St.

Each LASP holder may receive one numbered wristband upon presentation of a valid UT student ID. Wristbands will only be distributed on Sept. 19-20. Check the Student Orange Bloods page Tuesday night after 5 p.m. for an announcement on the starting wristband number for Wednesday's ticket draw. On Wednesday, Sept. 21, the student with the starting wristband number will be first in line, followed by the next numbers in sequential order. (For example, if 878 is the starting wristband number, students will line up in order starting with 878 followed by 879, 880, 881, etc.)

Tickets can be purchased at $110 each, for as long as available. Each person with a valid wristband can purchase up to six tickets to the game with six valid UT student IDs that do not already have a ticket. For more information, call 512-471-3333.

This season marks the 106th time that Texas and Oklahoma have met on the gridiron with the Longhorns owning a 59-41-5 advantage in the series.

We hope to see you at the Cotton Bowl on Oct. 8 as the Longhorns look to reclaim the Golden Hat Trophy.
