Pay tribute to America on Sept. 11 with Soccer for Horns & Heroes

Please join us for Horns & Heroes Night when Texas Soccer takes on Louisville presented by Bank of America on Friday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. at Mike A. Myers Stadium. In remembrance of the tragedies that took place on Sept. 11, 2001, and in appreciation of those who serve our country every day, UT Athletics will pay tribute to men and women in public service -- military personnel and veterans, firefighters, police officers and paramedics. The first 3,000 fans will receive FREE miniature American flags and lapel pins courtesy of Bank of America. Fans will have the opportunity to view emergency vehicles on display around the stadium and interact with Public Service Departments. Among special activities planned for the night, the National Anthem will be performed by local country artist Michael Myers and The University of Texas Army and Navy ROTC joint color guard. The Texas Athletics Council is holding a tailgate for UT students prior to the Horns & Heroes match beginning at 5:30 p.m. Come out for FREE food and fun and get pumped up before the Longhorns take on the Cardinals. UT Students who have purchased a Longhorn All-Sports Package (LASP) get FREE admission to the match by presenting their UT student ID.
