Baseball and Softball face the Aggies this weekend

Texas Baseball and Softball take on Texas A&M in the State Farm Lone Star Showdown for the final time as conference rivals on Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29. Softball starts the rivalry weekend on Saturday, April 28 at 12:30 p.m. at McCombs Field followed by Baseball at 2:30 p.m. at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. On Sunday, April 29 Baseball takes on the Aggies at 2 p.m. while the Softball team is slated to play at 5 p.m. Texas Baseball owns an overall 234-121-5 advantage over Texas A&M in the series dating back to 1904. Texas Softball narrowly trails the Aggies in the overall series, 18-19, but the Longhorns have taken two of the last three including a walk-off victory against the Aggies the last time the two teams met at McCombs Field. Texas currently leads Texas A&M 9-4 in the State Farm Lone Star Showdown. Texas can clinch its sixth State Farm Lone Star Showdown crown in the eight-year history of the event by winning one more point in either Baseball, Softball, Men's Golf, Women's Golf, Men's Outdoor Track & Field or Women's Outdoor Track & Field.
