On Monday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m., Texas Men's Basketball takes on the No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks at the Frank Erwin Center presented by H-E-B. The Longhorns are looking for the their first victory over a top-ranked team in program history. Monday's broadcast is part of ESPN's Big Monday and will be the first of two dates to originate from Austin in 2010 (also Mar. 1 vs. Oklahoma).
In their previous meeting in Austin, the then-No. 11 Texas upset No. 3 Kansas Jayhawks 72-69 on Feb. 11, 2008 en route to the program's third Big 12 Championship. Current senior Damion James' 14 points and 13 rebounds were instrumental in leading UT to its third consecutive victory at the Frank Erwin Center over the Jayhawks.
UT Students with the Longhorns All-Sports Package (LASP) who did not purchase the Stampede pass are highly encouraged to request and print your print-at-home ticket to the Texas-Kansas game online at TexasBoxOffice.com as soon as possible. If student tickets are unclaimed prior to the game, they are subject to be released and sold to the general public. Students are encouraged to arrive early on game night as large crowds are expected.
