The indoor track and field season won't officially begin until next month, but a pair of Longhorns will compete Friday in the Hoosier Open.

Ryan Dohner and Joe Stilin will participate in the 5,000-meter invitational race at 8:55 p.m. CST. Dohner is coming off an All-America cross country season. He finished 19th overall at last month's NCAA Cross Country Championships to help propel the Texas team to a ninth-place showing.

Dohner earned All-Big 12 honors last season in the indoor 5,000.

Stilin is in his first season with Texas after transferring from Princeton.

The Longhorns open the indoor season on Jan. 12 when they head to Fayetteville, Ark., for a dual meet with the Arkansas Razorbacks.
