Men's Cross Country remains at No. 5 in national poll
Nov. 13, 2012 NEW ORLEANS - Texas, which captured the NCAA South Central Regional last week for the second-straight year, is No. 5 in the final regular-season U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll. The Longhorns were fifth in the most recent poll which was conducted on Oct. 30. It is the highest the Horns have reached in the history of the USTFCCCA poll. Oklahoma State remains at No. 1 with Stanford and Iona tied for second. The Longhorns haven't finished in the top five at the NCAA Championships since 1990 when they were fourth. The NCAA meet is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. Saturday in Louisville, Ky. The Horns finished 11th at last year's NCAA Championships.
