Bubba's Olympic experience: Showtime in Sweden

I wanted to give you a quick update on our relay teams from Sweden. We ran two relays and they both did pretty well. The blue team ran 37.99 to win the race and the red team ran a 38.21 to finish second. The red team probably would've been under 38 seconds, but they had to avoid a runner in another lane. That just goes to show you that anything can happen in any given race. I thought our guys handled it pretty well and it will definitely give us something to work on.

It's good for the athletes to get back into competition. We had a great Olympic Trials, but it took a lot out of everybody. It's good to see that they've regrouped and are back and focused on getting ready for the Games.

The meet in Sweden was really fun. It was one of those classic European meets. The stadium was sold out and the fans brought a lot of electricity. I'm glad our teams performed well in front of that kind of crowd because that is what it will be like next month.

It's back to traveling now. We're on our way to London for the second of these meets. The atmosphere should be similar and we'll be looking to improve and build off our performance in Sweden.

I'll check in soon to let you know how everything went in England.
