Men's Track and Field records top 10 ranking for second straight week
AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas men's track and field team is ranked No. 8 in the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches' Association national poll and is tied for 11th with Louisville and North Carolina in the Trackwire Top 25 national poll, released on Tuesday, April 17. Texas took a rare break in the 2007 competition schedule this past weekend, after hosting the largest home meet of the year -- the 80th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays from Wednesday, April 4 to Saturday, April 7. Texas hosts the final home meet of the 2007 campaign with the Texas Invitational on Saturday, April 21 in Austin. The 3,000-meter run is the first running event of the evening, scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. CT start. The women's triple jump is the first field event on the schedule with a 2 p.m. CT tilt.
