Men's Track and Field notebook: March 16
AUSTIN, Texas -- In 2005, the Texas men's track and field program was one of only four men's and women's track and field squads to place in the top 12 at the NCAA cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field championships. With the cross country championships and indoor championships behind them, the Longhorns are on pace to complete the feat once again in 2006.
Last weekend, Texas added a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships to go along with its seventh-place showing at the NCAA Cross Country Championships from last November. The Longhorns comprise one of four men's track and field programs to place in the top 10 of the first two NCAA championship events of the 2005-06 season.
