TEXAS AND ARKANSAS DUAL
The No. 15 Longhorns will face off against the No. 13 Arkansas Razorbacks in a Dual Meet this Friday, Jan. 14 in Arkansas. The two squads are marking the second-straight year of competing in dual meets against each other. During the indoor season a year ago, the Longhorns won seven events including two each by Hayden Baillio and Marquise Goodwin but ultimately fell to the Razorbacks 88-81. In the outdoor campaign, Texas hosted Arkansas where the Longhorns won 14 of the day's 19 events to win the meet 122-76.

LONGHORNS RANKED
Texas enters the 2011 indoor season ranked 15th in the nation according to the preseason USTFCCCA NCAA Division I National Team Computer Rankings.

RETURNING ALL-AMERICANS
The Longhorns return five athletes that received All-America honors in 2010. Sophomore Marquise Goodwin returns a year after winning the 2010 outdoor long jump and also being named indoor All-American. Sophomore Keiron Stewart earned All-America honors in the 110-meter hurdles, sophomore Hayden Baillio was an outdoor All-American with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA meet while seniors Danzell Fortson and Logan Gonzales return from the 2010 distance medley relay team that finished eighth at the NCAA Indoor Championships. The Longhorns will also receive contributions from All-American transfer Alex Williams who helped Kentucky's 4x100-meter relay team to a berth at the NCAA Championships in 2010.

THROWERS OVER 60
The trio of sophomore Hayden Baillio, senior Brandon Drenon and junior Jacob Thormaehlen return a year after all three threw the shot put over 60 feet during the indoor season. Each Longhorn earned All-Big 12 honors last season.

FRESHMAN JACKSON'S ACCOLADES
Freshman Mark Jackson begins his UT career after being named 2010 Texas Track & Field Coaches Association (TTFCA) Male Athlete of the Year and Austin American-Statesman Prep Athlete of the Year.
