Men's Track and Field wraps up competition at USA Outdoor Championships

EUGENE, Ore. -- Texas Men's Track and Field concluded the last day of U.S. Outdoor Track and Field Championships Sunday afternoon with former Horn Andra Manson finishing eleventh in the high jump. Current throwers Hayden Baillio and Jacob Thormaehlen both competed in the shot put, finishing 17th and 19th respectively.
Manson cleared 7-2-5 and just missed qualifying for the World Championships. Baillio and Thormaehlen both competed for their first time at the senior level of the U.S. Championships. Baillio threw 61-9.5, and Thormaehlen tossed for 57-7.5.
Texas athletes who qualified for the world championships this weekend were Trey Hardee, Leonel Manzano, and Marquise Goodwin. The World Championships will be held in Daegu, Korea August 27- September 4.
