Men's Track and Field concludes competition at the Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas - The University of Texas Men's Track and Field team concluded competition at the 84th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays with a victory from the 4x400-meter relay team of Isaac Murphy, Andre Thomas, Keiron Stewart and Danzell Fortson in the university division. The team clocked 3:08.04, Texas' fastest of the season. Also in the relays, the 4x100-meter relay squad of Alex Williams, Trevante Rhodes, Marquise Goodwin and D.J. Monroe clocked 39.29 to finish fourth. The 4x100-meter relay time currently ranks as the sixth-fastest run collegiately this outdoor season. Rhodes also competed in the invitational 100 meters where he finished 10th in a wind-aided time of 10.37. Sophomore Keiron Stewart posted a fifth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles, clocking a wind-aided 13.43. In the field events, sophomore Hayden Baillio placed third in the shot put with a throw of 60-3.75 (18.38m). Junior Jacob Thormaehlen tossed 59-7.75 (17.57m) to finish sixth. Senior Jamal Wilson earned a fifth-place finish in the `A' section of the high jump with a clearance of 7-0.50 (2.15m).
Next up for the Texas men are the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif. beginning Thursday, April 14.
