FAYETTEVILLE, Ark./SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Junior Jacob Thormaehlen threw the top shot put at the Arkansas Final Qualifier with a mark of 62-1.25 (18.93m) to lead the Texas Men's Track and Field team during the Last Chance weekend. Thormaehlen's toss moves him to 10th place in the nation.

At the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind., the Texas distance medley relay of Logan Gonzales, Danzell Fortson, Michael Quercia and Patrick McGregor clocked 9:34.62. After today's competition, the Texas distance medley relay ranks 14th in the country.

The official list of qualifiers for the NCAA Indoor Championships will be announced by 7 p.m. on Monday, March 7. This year's national meet will take place March 11-12 in College Station, Texas.
