Men's Tennis preview: Texas Invitational
AUSTIN, Texas -- After recently completing play at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) South Central Regional Championships, the University of Texas men's tennis program welcomes the Texas Invitational to UT's Penick-Allison Tennis Center this weekend. Play begins Friday at 8:30 a.m. and continues through Sunday. The tournament consists of a 32-player singles bracket and a 16-team doubles draw. Joining the Longhorns in Austin this weekend are players from Texas A&M, Baylor, Virginia, Arkansas, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and other schools. The three-day event was originally scheduled for Sept. 23-25 but was postponed due to the threat of Hurricane Rita. Updated results will be available throughout the weekend, beginning on Friday afternoon, at TexasSports.com.
