Men's Tennis preview: Texas Invitational
WHAT: The annual Texas Invitational, featuring a 48-player singles draw, a singles consolation bracket and a 24-team doubles draw. WHERE: Penick-Allison Tennis Center - Austin, Texas WHEN: Friday, Oct. 27 through Sunday, Oct. 29; Play begins at 9 a.m. with singles action; Saturday's action begins at 8:30 a.m. with doubles play. Friday's action features three rounds of singles play and one doubles round. The tournament field will play one doubles round and two singles rounds on Saturday, and the championship matches will be contested on Sunday. WHO: Head coach Michael Center and the Longhorns will welcome student-athletes from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Lamar, Texas-San Antonio, Texas-Arlington, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Baylor and St. Edward's to Austin for the three-day event. RESULTS: Complete tournament draws will be posted at TexasSports.com when they become available. Draws will be updated at TexasSports.com upon completion of play each day.
