AUSTIN, Texas -- Junior Callum Beale (Adelaide, Australia) failed to qualify for the ITA National Indoor Championships as he lost a tough, 6-4, 6-4, match to Baylor's Lars Porschke in the semifinals of the Wilson/ITA South Central Regional Championships on Monday, Oct. 25 at Penick-Allison Tennis Center.

For the tournament, Beale posted an impressive 4-1 record in singles and teamed with freshman Travis Helgeson (Overland Park, Kan.) for an appearance in the doubles round of 16.

The Texas men's tennis team will return to the courts on Friday, Jan. 21 when it begins its dual-match season at the Rice Invitational.
