MIDLAND, Texas -- Juniors Roger Gubser (Laredo, Texas) and Callum Beale (Adelaide, Australia) claimed the doubles title at the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational after posting a two-set, 6-3, 6-3, victory over Michael Innerebner and Bojan Szumanski of Texas Tech on Sunday, Oct. 17.

Both Longhorns also competed in singles action on Sunday. Gubser posted a 4-1 record in singles for the tournament as he lost in the main draw finals, 6-4, 7-5, to No. 24-ranked Luben Pampoulov of UCLA. Beale defeated Innerebner, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6, in the consolation semifinals, but fell to Benjamin Kohlloeffel of UCLA in the finals, 6-2, 7-6. Beale posted a 3-2 singles record for the weekend.

The Texas men's tennis team returns to action on Friday, Oct. 22 at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center when it hosts the ITA Central Regional.
