Chodkiewicz and Gubser wrap up competition at All-American event
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Texas' duo of sophomore Hubert Chodkiewicz (Corpus Christi, Texas) and junior Roger Gubser (Laredo, Texas) had an impressive run, but fell short of reaching the quarterfinals in doubles qualifying action at the ITA All-American Championships held at the Champions Club on Wednesday, Oct. 6. Chodkiewicz and Gubser were defeated, 8-5, by the No. 26-ranked duo of Nate Grover and Izak Van der Merwe of Old Dominion. The loss caps off a week in which the tandem won four decisive matches en route to an appearance in the doubles qualifying round of 16. The Texas men's tennis team will return to the courts on Oct. 8 at the Lubbock Future Invitational. TEXAS RESULTS
