Men's Tennis wraps up pre-qualifying rounds of ITA All-American Championships
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Sophomore Hubert Chodkiewicz (Corpus Christi, Texas) and junior Roger Gubser (Laredo, Texas) ended their run in pre-qualifying doubles of the ITA All-American Championships at the Champions Club on Sunday, Oct. 3. The Texas duo battled to the very last point, but came up short against Luigi D'Agord and Eric Molnar of Alabama, 9-8 (1). The loss caps off an impressive tournament for Chodkiewicz in which he advanced to the second round of pre-qualifying singles and teamed with Gubser to reach the final round of pre-qualifying doubles. Gubser will begin his play in qualifying singles action at the ITA All-American Championships when he faces Oscor Posada of East Tennessee State on Monday, Oct. 4. The rest of the Texas men's tennis team will return to the courts on Oct. 8 when they take part in the Lubbock Future Invitational. TEXAS RESULTS
