Three Men's Tennis players ranked in final ITA poll

AUSTIN, Texas -- In the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) individual rankings released on Friday, junior Callum Beale (Adelaide, Australia) and freshman Travis Helgeson (Overland Park, Kan.) were ranked in the top 50 in both singles and doubles, and junior Roger Gubser (Laredo, Texas) ended the season with a top 100 national singles ranking.

Beale, who earned All-Big 12 honors in singles, ended his junior campaign with a 23-14 overall record and a final singles ranking of No. 46. Helgeson also garnered All-Big 12 accolades in singles and was recently awarded his first All-America honor after advancing to the Round of 16 in the NCAA Singles Championship. The freshman finished the season with a 26-13 mark and a No. 49 national ranking. Additionally, Beale and Helgeson were recognized as the No. 47 doubles tandem in the nation after posting a 14-10 overall record while playing at the top of Texas' doubles lineup.

Gubser compiled records of 28-12 overall and 12-7 in dual matches en route to a final singles ranking of No. 81.

As a team, Texas appeared in the final ITA poll at No. 28 after advancing to the NCAA second round and finishing the year with a 13-10 dual-match record.
