Kutrovsky falls in NCAA Men's Tennis singles tournament opener
ATHENS, Ga. -- University of Texas freshman Dimitar Kutrovsky suffered a 6-3, 7-6 (3) defeat to Pepperdine's 16th-ranked Andre Begemann in the first round of the 64-player NCAA singles draw Wednesday at the University of Georgia's Dan Magill Tennis Complex. Begemann advances to Thursday's NCAA round of 32 where he will meet either Arkansas' Blake Strode or Hawaii's Andreas Weber. Kutrovsky (Sofia, Bulgaria) will join UT freshman Josh Zavala (Amarillo, Texas) on Thursday in the opening round of the 32-team NCAA doubles draw. The Texas duo will take on Wake Forest's ninth-ranked tandem of Mariusz Adamski and Todd Paul at a time to be announced. NCAA Tennis Championships - Singles Round of 64
