No. 3 Men's Tennis selected to host NCAA first and second rounds

AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas has earned the No. 3 national seed and will host first- and second-round action in the 2010 NCAA Championships beginning Friday, May 14 at UT's Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
The Longhorns (25-2), who earned an automatic bid as the Big 12 Conference champion, will take on UTSA (Texas-San Antonio), the Southland Conference champion, on Friday, May 14 at 1 p.m. Central. In the other first-round match, Arizona (13-9) and Minnesota (13-10), a pair of NCAA at-large bid recipients, will square off on May 14 at 10 a.m. Central. Ticket information will be available later this week.
The winners of the two round-of-64 matches will meet in the NCAA round of 32 on Saturday, May 15 at 1 p.m. Central. The winner advances to the NCAA Championship's round of 16 to be contested on Friday, May 21 at the University of Georgia's Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga., which also serves as the site for the remaining NCAA Championship rounds.
Texas will serve as a NCAA first- and second-round host for a fifth consecutive year. The Longhorns have reached the national semifinals or better in three of the last four seasons.
