Kutrovsky tabbed Big 12 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas -- The Big 12 Conference selected Texas senior Dimitar Kutrovsky on Tuesday as the league's men's tennis player of the week after the All-American scored a pair of crucial wins in UT's recent win at No. 13 Texas Tech.
Kutrovsky defeated the Red Raiders' sixth-ranked Raony Carvalho by a 6-4, 6-0 count in the Horns' 4-3 win over Texas Tech on Saturday, April 3 in Lubbock. It marked Kutrovsky's sixth victory of the season over an ITA top-25 singles opponent. Kutrovsky also teamed up with classmate Josh Zavala to defeat Tech's 20th-ranked doubles duo of Carvalho and Rafael Garcia.
Kutrovsky also was selected as the league's men's tennis player of the week on March 8. Kutrovsky and the Longhorns are set to take on Tulsa on Wednesday, April 7. First serve is set for 6 p.m. at UT's Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
