Kutrovsky tabbed Big 12 Menís Tennis Player of the Week
IRVING, Texas -- The Big 12 Conference selected Texas sophomore Dimitar Kutrovsky as its Men's Tennis Player of the Week after the all-conference performer totaled a pair of singles victories last week in the Longhorns' wins over Old Dominion and Florida State.
Kutrovsky opened the week with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Old Dominion's Aleksandr Selenev in UT's 6-1 win over the Monarchs on Wednesday, March 5. The 33rd-ranked sophomore upset Florida State's 24th-ranked Jean-Yves Aubone in Texas' 6-1 win over the Seminoles on Saturday, March 8 in Austin.
The selection is the first career honor for Kutrovsky and the second consecutive for Texas, as freshman Kellen Damico was named the league's Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday, March 3.
The fourth-ranked Longhorns return to action on Thursday, March 20 when they host No. 10 Southern California on Thursday, March 20 at 5:30 p.m. Central.
