Men's Tennis preview: UM Spring Invitational

WHERE: Neil Schiff Tennis Center, Coral Gables, Fla.

WHEN: Saturday, Jan. 13 through Monday, Jan. 15, all day

WHO: Texas will take on Miami, Michigan and Duke, the same teams who competed in the 2006 event. Michigan features 44th-ranked Matko Maravic and 59th-ranked Brian Hung. Duke counters with 54th-ranked Kiril Dimitrov, 80th-ranked Peter Rodrigues and 84th-ranked Dylan Arnould. Miami's Luigi D'Agord garnered a No. 3 singles ranking last September but is no longer ranked as a result of not playing in the fall.

LAST TIME OUT: UT freshman Dimitar Kutrovsky (Sofia, Bulgaria) captured his first collegiate singles title on Oct. 29, 2006 when he claimed the main singles draw at the Texas Invitational at UT's Penick-Allison Tennis Center. Kutrovsky defeated Texas Tech's 92nd-ranked Sinisa Markovic in straight sets to finish off the tournament victory.
