Men's Tennis signs Adrien Berkowicz for 2013-14
Jan. 3, 2013 Adrien Berkowicz AUSTIN, Texas - University of Texas men's tennis head coach Michael Center announced the signing of junior college prospect Adrien Berkowicz for the 2013-14 academic year. Berkowicz is from Aix en Provence, France and has spent the last two years at Vincennes University (Vincennes, Ind.) and Tyler Junior College (Tyler, Texas), respectively. "Adrien is a proven winner and terrific student and we are thrilled to officially call him a Longhorn," head coach Michael Center said. "He will only have two years with us but I think will leave a significant mark on our program, on and off the court." With a 21-1 record in 2012, he guided Vincennes to a NJCAA Division I Men’s Championship over the school he would later transfer to – Tyler JC. This fall at Tyler JC, Berkowicz won the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships singles title on Oct. 14 and defeated Harrison Richmond (University of Virginia) in the first round of the USTA/ITA National Indoors on Nov. 8. Berkowicz will begin classes in the fall of 2013.
