Men's Tennis adds two doubles pairs to main draw at ITA All-American Championship
Oct. 8, 2008 TULSA, Okla. -- Two Texas doubles pairs won their final qualifying-round matches to advance to the main doubles draw Wednesday at the ITA All-American Championship, one of three national-championship events on the college tennis schedule. Juniors Dimitar Kutrovsky and Josh Zavala tallied an 8-3 victory over Miami's David Rosenfeld and David Simon to earn their ticket to the main draw. Senior Miguel Reyes Varela and junior Olivier Sajous will join them in the main draw after posting an 8-4 win over Sacramento State's Kiryl Harbatsiuk and Anton Stryhas. The two Texas pairs who earned their way into the main draw will join UT sophomores Ed Corrie and Kellen Damico, who had already earned an at-large selection into the main draw. Corrie, Damico and Kutrovsky also will participate in the main singles draw. Main-draw competition begins Thursday in Tulsa. The Longhorns' opponents have yet to be determined.
