Men's Tennis collects four doubles wins at ITA All-American Championship

TULSA, Okla. -- The Texas doubles duo of juniors Dimitar Kutrovsky and Josh Zavala and the tandem of senior Miguel Reyes Varela and junior Olivier Sajous posted four victories during qualifying-round action Tuesday at the ITA All-American Championship, one of three national-championship events on the college tennis schedule.

Kutrovsky (Sofia, Bulgaria) and Zavala (Amarillo, Texas) opened the day with an 8-3 win over Duke's Reid Carleton and Kiril Dimitrov before teaming up for an 8-4 win over Baylor's Attila Bucko and Jordan Rux.

Sajous (Plantation, Fla.) and Reyes Varela (Cocoyoc, Mexico) tallied an 8-4 win over George Washington's Ugur Atalay and Ryan Schlacter before posting an 8-6 win over Florida's Joey Burkhardt and Carlos Cueto.

The Texas doubles duos will advance to the main doubles draw at the ITA All-American Championship with one last qualifying victory on Wednesday.
